Working with Unity Catalog in Databricks: Overcoming Common Error

As I recently worked on implementing a new feature in Databricks, I hit a roadblock that many data engineers might find all too familiar: an error when trying to enable Unity Catalog if you’ve ever been rolling out a critical update, only to be stopped dead in your tracks by an unexpected issue, you know how frustrating this can be.

But every challenge is an opportunity to learn, right?

Problem Statement: There was an error logging in managed account to enable the Unity Catalog. The below error occurs after clicking on sign-in with Azure AD.

“There was an error logging in. Your user does not belong to a Databricks account. Contact your Databricks account administrator”
